Bot Builders is a week-long summer camp in which campers 4th - 8th grade have the opportunity to work together to build and program a robot, and to explore a variety of STEM challenges.
Trained counselors will be available to guide campers, giving the best robotics experience possible. At the end of the week, campers in most of the programs will showcase their finished robot in a friendly competition.
All of our Bot Builders sessions will be held at a CUSD school.
Each day runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a lunch break in the middle.
All camps have a capacity limit, but there are waitlists available if the camp is full.

The Introductory Bot Builders Camps are designed for students who have some or no VEX IQ experience. The camps will be very structured, with more building and programming instruction for the students. Campers will build a set robot and be guided through having it perform set tasks. In the Introductory Bot Builders Camp the end of camp competition may be the current season’s challenge or may be a previous season’s challenge.
The Intermediate Bot Builders Camps offer more creative freedom and are aimed at students who already have experience working with VEX IQ. The Intermediate Bot Builders Camp often uses the current season’s challenge as the end of camp competition, to both expose campers to the current year’s game as well as allow campers a chance to come up with creative solutions to challenges posed in the current year’s game, which the campers could then take those ideas back and further develop if they participate in a league team.
Advanced Bot Builders Camps offer a week of applying the elements of robotics. Campers will put your new skills to the test in our competition at the end of the week using VEX V5 robotics platform! Campers will be placed in teams, led by Alumni of Butte Built Bots and Inspire Robotics in designing, building, and operating a robot in an exciting game at the end of the week! If you participated last summer, the game will be different so we would love for you to join us again!
