Who Can Join?

We welcome high school students who are eager to learn, collaborate, and take on challenges. No prior robotics experience is required—just bring your curiosity and willingness to work as part of a team!

Commitment Expectations:

• Attend three team meetings per week (during Build Season: January–March)
• Participate in off-season training and events (September–December)
• Be available for competitions in March and April
• Take an active role in at least one subteam (see below)

Find Your Role on the Team

We have a variety of subteams that work together to design, build, and compete with our robot. You can specialize in one or explore multiple areas!

Engineering & Design

• Mechanical: Build and assemble the robot
• Electrical & Wiring: Work with motors, sensors, and circuits
• CAD & Prototyping: Design robot parts in 3D modeling software

Programming & Control Systems

• Software Development: Code the robot using Java and WPILib
• Sensors & Vision: Implement cameras and automation
• Game Strategy & Data Analysis: Use data to drive decision-making

Business, Media & Outreach

• Marketing & Branding: Manage social media and team image
• Sponsorship & Fundraising: Connect with businesses and donors
• Event Planning & Outreach: Organize community robotics programs

Come to one of our info sessions at the beginning of the school year to learn more. Can’t make it? Contact us, and we’ll set up a time to chat!

Complete our Student Member Application Form (linked below). This helps us learn about your interests and skills.
